Beacon, Inc. has been manufacturing Bacon Hangers for over 55 years, and during that time we have been asked to design special hangers for unique applications or to solve a specific handling problem. The following photos show a few examples of special Combs that we have manufactured. These hangers were designed to work with various types of racks, trees, trucks, serpentine, and conveyor systems.

INNOVATION = PATENTS
Patented, employee friendly Bacon Hangers have been designed to provide longer usable life and reduce the potential of injury, like carpel tunnel syndrome, to the user when used with your mechanical device to remove the Bacon Hanger from the bellies.

Relative to longer usable life, they last longer, the statement(s) within the patent(s) to support this claim is as follows:

"having all weld positions (welds) under compression while under the stress caused by
the weight of the belly and/or the stress caused by the engagement of a mechanical device used to extract the hanger prongs from the processed belly."

The welds on every style of Bacon Hanger we manufacture are under compression.

The Patent Pending on this Bacon Hanger incorporates a Stabilizing Member to eliminate the problem of the Hook being bent and eventually breaking off. The Stabilizing Member is an option on all Bacon Hangers manufactured by Beacon. Inc.

Bellies have gotten longer. These longer bellies can cause numerous problems in the processing cycle, like, but not limited to, causing the hanging belly to be lifted off of the notched bar above it causing it to fall on the floor, touching the belly below it and curlingup the bottom of the belly, etc. Our "Shorty" Bacon Hanger helps to reduce the problems of processing longer bellies.

The industry standard 10-prong Bacon Hanger is 11-1/4" wide. Our 10-prong narrow Bacon Hanger is only 10" wide for those who need the supporting strength of 10-prongs but need a narrower Bacon Hanger to eliminate the problem of the Combs tangling with Combs on other Racks and Trees and bending the outside prongs. This narrow 10-prong Comb helps to eliminate that problem.
